Richter continues to grow in capability and resource with the arrival of Andrew Lowe, as the Huddersfield’s office newly appointed ‘Associate Director’, our first senior management appointment to this region.
To coincide with the considerable success in recent years, the Huddersfield’s Office has moved into a much larger design studio in December 2020, with some 5000 sq ft of office space to allow the region to continue to deliver projects for its valued clients. The office has recently secured engineering design works to the £80m Hope Valley Railway upgrade, Birmingham’s New Street station, the M6 J19 scheme, and East West Rail to name just a few of the high-profile projects to benefit from the team’s years of experience.
Huddersfield Director Colin Harwood (third from left) commented: “It is great to see big names like Andrew Lowe coming to Richter. We have been building up a presence in the North with our grass roots team and have a reputation for engineering value into projects. With Andrew arriving to our design office, not only will our clients benefit from his years of experience and expertise, but our regional engineering staff will benefit from this also. His arrival will undoubtedly allow us to win and deliver further technical contracts at a regional level, but his expertise will extend to the wider Richter group both for projects throughout the UK and overseas”.
Andrew Lowe (left) commented: “The time was right for me to come to Richter and to build upon its recent successes. Huddersfield is a good location, and the pipeline of work they have recently been awarded is something I can positively contribute to. The expansion plans for the region is something I am also keen on delivering with the management team at Richter, and with the existing skilled workforce across the group they have the expertise necessary to design the temporary works needed by the next generation of major infrastructure projects”.
