Richter would like to congratulate both Josef Ashton MSc (Eng) and John Holmes MSc BEng (Hons) GMICE, of the team in Huddersfield on their recent achievements. Having both studied part time at the University of Leeds, along side working their full time jobs here at Richter, they have passed their Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.

Josef, Senior Design Engineer, pictured below on the left, passed with Distinction. He joined Richter in July 2019 having previously worked at Multiplex Middle East as a Project Engineer, and told us how important it was for him to have reached this goal:

"By obtaining my Masters I now have the academic base to progress myself to chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Having completed an undergraduate degree in Geological Science, it is a great feeling knowing that I now have an engineering qualification under my belt to help further my knowledge and career within the industry".

John, also Senior Design Engineer, passed with Merit and joined Richter in June 2019 coming from Mabey as a Development Engineer. Achieving this Masters is a significant career milestone for John, which will allow him further progression within the industry. John also said:

"It will also give our clients the confidence they are getting the best possible service with Richter". His next steps are achieving Chartered status with the ICE.

Colin Harwood, Director, congratulates his team members, "We are fully committed to supporting our colleagues with their academic ambitions, from apprentice level, all the way through to PhD. I'm proud of John and Josef's' achievement in obtaining their Masters degree and know they have an exciting career ahead of them".

From everyone at Richter, huge congratulations to you both!
