The Woolgar Hunter prize is awarded for outstanding performance in the University taught module, ‘Introduction to Structural Design with Computer Applications’.
We are pleased to share that one of Richter’s Graduate Engineers Lee Moffatt, was recently awarded this prize. Lee joined the Warrington office in January 2021 having completed his MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford. Since then, he has been working on a variety of schemes with close mentorship from his colleagues.
Lee said he is delighted to have received this award as a recognition of his performance and hard work he’s put in during his time at university.
“After completing multiple summer placements at various design offices, I was able to apply skills that I had learnt from industry experience back into my studies. With the support of Richter, I look forward to further broadening my experience and continuing to develop as an agile temporary works engineer, with the aim of becoming a Chartered Engineer in the next few years. I would like to thank Woolgar Hunter for sponsoring the award, and the lecturers at the University of Salford for the assistance they provided throughout my studies".
Lee is pictured above being presented the award by Dr. Georgina Harris, Director of Engineering. Jonathan Haynes, Head of Civil Engineering was also present on the day, both are from the University of Salford.
Congratulations from all your Richter colleagues Lee, well done.
